With the fall foliage turning and skiers and riders daydreaming more frequently about fun on the slopes, Vermont is looking forward to a safe and enjoyable fall and winter.

Vermonters and visitors to the state have done a great job throughout the summer of protecting themselves and others from the COVID-19 virus. Our shared responsibility in adhering to regulations and safeguards has been key, and will continue to be. Wearing facemasks in public, practicing social distancing whenever possible, washing hands and other measures have helped Vermont have the lowest infection rate in the nation.

Ski area planning for winter is well underway, and Ski Vermont is working with the state on overall guidance now and will update as this process progresses. Ski Vermont is committed to providing useful and up-to-date information about recreation activities and operations at member ski areas. This resource page provides links to online resources related to operational guidelines, safeguards and restrictions. This information is intended to help prospective guests make informed decisions in the best interests of not only their own safety and well-being, but also that of the ski area employees and members of their surrounding communities.

It remains imperative that prospective guests understand and comply with the most up-to-date regulations before planning an outing. These regulations can be found on the websites for the state of Vermont with further, activity-specific guidance available on each ski area's website.

Vermont's ski areas welcome back out-of-state guests, while urging those guests to act responsibly and do their part to help keep themselves and others safe.

The state of Vermont's website features a page on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19): Vermont State Response and Resources with a section detailing Governor Phil Scott's Phased Re-Opening Plan, Restart Vermont. Effective Aug. 1, all Vermonters are required to wear masks or cloth facial coverings any time it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least six feet with others from outside their household.
