Ski Areas Help Green Up Vermont
Saturday, May 6, 2023 is Green Up Day in Vermont. Vermonters across the state go out in their communities and pick up trash along roadsides and in public places. The organizing body, Green Up Vermont, provides green safety t-shirts, green trash collection bags and other resources for those looking to green up their local communities. In 2022, almost 20,000 volunteers worked together to pick up over 497 tons of trash. Learn more about VT's Green Up initiative and how you can help at greenupvermont.org.
Vermont ski areas are committed to keeping their communities green. As stewards of the environment and the mountains we call home, Ski Vermont and its members are proud sponsors and participants in Green Up Day activities. Each year, resort employees and guests alike gather to help clean up local roads and waterways. Vermont ski areas are committed to minimizing their environmental impact year-round with energy-efficient snowmaking equipment, water recycling programs, renewable energy use, supporting public transportation, EV charging stations, and more.
