Ski Vermont IPA by Long Trail

Vermont is home to incredible skiing, passionate residents and excellent beer, traits that have inspired the Official Beer of Ski Vermont—the Ski Vermont IPA. Guided by the expertise of our longtime partners at Long Trail Brewing, this limited release IPA was crafted for all who are drawn to our state’s snowy slopes, and to showcase Vermont as a premier winter destination.

“The inspiration was based on what’s become known as the New England IPA –we affectionately refer to it as the VT IPA”, says Dan Fulham, President and CEO of Long Trail Brewing. “That cloudy, juicy treatment of a traditionally dark English-style beer—like a lot of great traditions—was born here in VT.”

Drawing on a decades-long history of partnering with Ski Vermont, Long Trail focused on showcasing a newer-styled product from two long-established VT brands while putting a emphasis on fun as a core part of the development process.

“Because it was a limited release we really wanted to have some fun with it,” Fulham explains “so we used a special “juicy” yeast—and some proprietary ingredients—to give it a special profile.”

The result is as much an homage to Vermont’s historic ski traditions as it is to present day.

“This was made as an après beer—something to enjoy after a great day out on the mountain with your friends. We think that idea really captures the Vermont ethos.”

Ski Vermont would like to extend our thanks to Long Trail for their long-time partnership and for bringing the Official Beer of Ski Vermont to life! The Ski Vermont IPA is being distributed throughout Vermont and select areas in northern New England.
