Vermont Ski Areas Continue to Open Across the State
Ski season in Vermont continues to pick up speed with more areas opening across the state, and others planning to spin their lifts to life in the coming days.
Mad River Glen opened Saturday, Dec. 12 - 13. Mad River Glen will be closed mid-week.
Bolton Valley Resort opened on Friday, Dec. 11.
Sugarbush Resort opened to passholders on Thursday, Dec. 10. and opened to the public on Friday, Dec. 11. Smugglers' Notch Resort and Stratton Mountain Resort also opened on Dec. 10.
Jay Peak Resort opened Friday, Nov. 27, while Bromley Mountain opened Sunday, Nov. 29.
The season in Vermont officially kicked off Friday, Nov. 20, when Killington Resort opened for Season Pass, Beast 365 and Ikon pass holders — all of whom have met Vermont quarantine requirements. The resort opened to the general public on Monday, Nov. 23.
With this opening, Killington once again became one of the first eastern ski areas open for skiing and riding.
Vail Resorts' three Vermont ski areas on its Epic Pass - Mount Snow Resort, Okemo Mountain Resort and Stowe Mountain Resort - opened on Wednesday, Nov. 25. All three resorts detailed their openings - including their reservations system - online and on social media.
